  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs or panko
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. FROZEN METHOD: Arrange in single layer. Don't overlap or stack.
  2. No preheat needed. Straight from freezer. 390°F for 6 minutes.
  3. Shake at 4 minutes. Flip or shake for even browning.
  4. Check at 6 min. Golden brown = done. If any are leaking cheese, remove immediately.
  5. FROM-SCRATCH METHOD: Freeze string cheese for 1 hour first. This is non-negotiable.
  6. Set up 3 bowls: Flour, beaten eggs, panko + parmesan + Italian seasoning mixture.
  7. Halve string cheese sticks. Cut into halves or thirds.
  8. Dredge: flour → egg → panko. Double-coat: egg again, panko again for extra crunch.
  9. Freeze breaded sticks 30 more min. Locks the breading in place. Skip = cheese explosion.
  10. Spray with oil, air fry 390°F for 6-7 min. Pull the moment breading browns.
